Stavelot Tourist Information Office offers you different ways to discover the heritage of the region of Stavelot.

A Stroll through History : the alleys, old houses, squares, fountains and the 18th-century Abbey are all witnesses of a contrasting history.
Stavelot and Water : Water has always flown in rhythm with this city’s day-to-day life: the Ambleve River and its old bridge, the fountains and stone laundry basins, and the ponds where the memory of the tanneries from the 19th century are still reflected.
- Each guided tour lasts about 1 hour
- These guided tours are available in French, Dutch, German and English.
- One guide per group of maximum 25 people
- Tour charge: 50€

The Treasure of Saint-Sebastien Church :
Masterpieces of Mosan art, Saint Remacle’s shrine and Saint-Poppon’s bust-reliquary are conserved in this parish church where you can also find a magnificent church organ which dates from the 19th century.

Thanks to the explanation boards, visitors can learn about the story of the archaeological site of the 11th -century Abbey-church as they walk through it to the Abbey museums.

The Abbey, open to the public, hosts a great number of cultural events and houses three museums, the public library, an art gallery, as well as the Cultural Centre. Inside, visitors can also see the Romanesque cellars, the Monks’ Refectory, the cloister, the garden …etc. The NPO, “Espaces Tourisme et Culture”, who administers the museums also puts forward educational activities for schools.
